HOW DO I SUBSCRIBE?

Simply fill out the booking form and email, post or take it to the Theatre Royal Box Office, 29 Campbell Street, Hobart.

HOW ARE SUBSCRIPTIONS PROCESSED?

Seating allocation for renewing subscribers is made in the order of subscription level, with Platinum subscribers receiving the same seats for each concert and from year to year.

Preference in seating allocation thereafter, is assigned to Gold subscribers, Silver subscribers and Bronze subscribers in that order.

After the close of the preferential subscriber renewal period on Friday 22nd December 2023, all subscriptions will be processed as received and the best available seats allocated.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY SUBSCRIPTION TICKETS?

Tickets for all renewing and new subscribers will be posted to the primary subscriber address from early January 2024.

WHEN CAN I BUY SINGLE TICKETS?

Single tickets are available for sale from Friday 15th January 2024, from www.theatreroyal.com.au or by phoning 03 6146 3300.

AM I ELIGIBLE FOR A CONCESSION OR SCHOOL/COLLEGE SUBSCRIPTION?

Concession subscriptions are available to recipients of means-tested pensions or benefits. We also accept the Companion Card. Travel Cards, Seniors Cards and other non-means-tested cards cannot be accepted as proof of entitlement. Please provide your concession card number on the booking form.

MVT STUDENT SUBSCRIPTION

Discounted subscriptions are available for primary, secondary and full-time tertiary students. Just $30 will secure a seat at all seven concerts.

  • Students must present a valid ID card or School Identification Slip and a completed subscription form at the Theatre Royal Box Office when purchasing an MVT Student Subscription
  • Students must present a valid ID card or School Identification Slip as well as their ticket to gain entry to performances
  • Membership is valid until the end of 2024
  • Cards and tickets are non-transferable
  • The MVT Student Subscription is valid for full-time Tasmanian primary, secondary and tertiary students
  • Seating will be allocated once all full subscriptions have been processed.

CAN I GET STUDENT RUSH TICKETS?

Subject to availability at time of purchase, full-time students can buy rush tickets from the venue box office one hour prior to each concert for only $5. Student identification is required at time of purchase.

WHAT IF I LOSE MY TICKETS?

If you lose or misplace your tickets, and you are a subscriber, we will issue free replacement tickets prior to the concert from the venue box office.

CAN I GET A REFUND OR EXCHANGE IF I CAN’T MAKE IT TO A CONCERT?

Unfortunately, all ticket sales are final and no refunds can be made once payment has been processed. Gold, Silver and Bronze subscribers may exchange tickets for another concert in the series up until seven days prior to the concert date upon payment of a reissue fee and any additional ticket charges. Tickets may only be exchanged in person at the Theatre Royal Box Office.

CAN I CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION IF I’M PAYING IN INSTALMENTS?

Unfortunately, all ticket sales are final and instalments cannot be cancelled after tickets have been issued. Payment by instalment is offered to reduce the up-front burden of purchasing a subscription package.

DOES THE CONCERT VENUE HAVE DISABLED ACCESS?

The Hobart Town Hall is accessible by wheelchair and has facilities for wheelchair users. Please advise the box office of your requirements when booking.

ARE REFRESHMENTS AVAILABLE AT THE VENUE?

On concert nights Musica Viva Tasmania operates a licensed bar in the Hobart Town Hall ante-room. Refreshments are available for purchase before concerts and during interval.
